Master Gardeners were conceived by the extension agent in Snohomish County, Washington, in 1972 to assist him with the growing requests from urban farmers in that area. Today Master Gardener programs exist in every state and in six Canadian provinces. It is a program designed to "grow" volunteers that contribute thousands of volunteers hours in their communities by planting and maintaining public gardens, conducting research, and speaking on gardening issues. | |

The registration fee is $50.00. Make checks payable to the county extension office. You also must fill out a registration form and turn it in with your check. The registration deadline is August 1. You may pick up and turn in the registration forms at either the county extention office or here at blooms & bulbs. | |
