Hardy
Garrison"THE STORY GUY!" Storyteller Hardy Garrison, known to many audiences around the state (and points beyond) simply as THE STORY GUY, has been weaving tales for young and old alike since 1983, presenting programs for schools and libraries, as well as for other groups and events. This popular children's and family entertainer delivers rollicking, high-energy performances, infused with plenty of humor and often a healthy dose of audience participation. He is also available for residencies and workshops. A frequent festival performer, Hardy has shared his stories at the National Storytelling Conference in Chicago, on National Public Radio's "Stories In the Air" program, and on the PBS documentary series Road Trip America, as well as many other notable venues. Hardy serves as Wisconsin State Representative on the Board of Directors of the Northlands Storytelling Network and as Wisconsin State Liaison for the National Storytelling Network. He is the 2000 recipient of the annual Lucy Beck Award, which recognizes noteworthy contributions and service in support of the art of storytelling in the state of Wisconsin. Contact information:
